Job Summary
The Global Technology Architect is a senior enterprise architecture role responsible for shaping the target technology landscape, enabling cloud transformation, defining database and application strategy, and influencing technology decisions across application teams and CxO-level stakeholders. The role provides enterprise architecture leadership across cloud transformation, infrastructure, security, automation, database strategy, application strategy, and AI-enabled technology evolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the target technology landscape, target architectures, and multi-year technology roadmaps.
- Lead Enterprise Architecture direction across platforms, infrastructure, cloud, security, automation, database strategy, and application strategy.
- Drive cloud transformation by defining scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud adoption patterns.
- Define and govern database strategy covering standardization, modernization, lifecycle planning, resilience, performance, and platform alignment.
- Shape application strategy through hosting choices, platform adoption, integration patterns, and architecture guardrails.
- Assess baseline architecture and design transition architectures to achieve the target state.
- Support migration planning and convert technology strategy into prioritized, sequenced, value-driven delivery plans.
- Establish enterprise standards, non-functional requirements, architecture principles, and governance frameworks.
- Submit architecture recommendations and decision proposals to the Group Architecture Board.
- Modernize and consolidate the technology landscape to reduce complexity and technical debt while improving cost and performance.
- Identify gaps between current and target architectures and prioritize remediation.
- Develop and maintain architecture models, Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), standards, patterns, and reference models.
- Evaluate business applications and workloads for migration to foundation platforms.
- Influence application teams, technology experts, governance forums, and CxO-level stakeholders through clear architecture recommendations.
Required Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of experience across Infrastructure, Cloud, Security, and Automation in complex enterprise technology environments.
- Strong Enterprise Architecture experience with the ability to define architecture principles, target states, technology standards, and transition roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of cloud transformation and platform engineering.
- Deep knowledge of infrastructure services, security-by-design, and enterprise operating models.
- Proven experience in database strategy, application strategy, rationalization, modernization, migration planning, and lifecycle governance.
- Strong understanding of AI applications in technology modernization, automation, operational efficiency, and developer productivity.
- Practical experience in architecture governance and enterprise technology decision-making.
- Strong ability to simplify complex technology and architecture concepts for technical and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- TOGAF certification or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification.
- Experience with enterprise-scale cloud transformation programs.
- Experience with technology modernization and consolidation initiatives.
- Strong exposure to AI-enabled technology evolution and automation.
- Experience working with CxO-level stakeholders and global architecture governance forums.
