Job Summary
The Transition Manager/Lead – Finance Shared Services is responsible for leading the migration and transformation of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Credit-to-Cash (C2C) processes into a Global Business Services (GBS) environment. The role focuses on transition planning, process optimization, stakeholder management, knowledge transfer, and ensuring operational readiness while driving finance transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement transition strategy and roadmap for P2P and C2C processes within GBS.
- Coordinate with global and local finance teams, vendors, and stakeholders for smooth process migration.
- Develop and manage transition project plans and ensure timely delivery.
- Create and maintain process documentation including RACI, SOPs, and process controls.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid business disruption.
- Drive knowledge transfer initiatives and training for GBS teams.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor recruitment and onboarding activities during transition phases.
- Collaborate with business leaders and process owners to identify process improvements and synergies.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of global operational delivery experience in Shared Services or GBS environments.
- Hands-on experience in transition management and migration activities.
- Strong understanding of GBS transition methodologies.
- Expertise in P2P and C2C processes including billing, invoicing, payments, collections, cash applications, and credit control.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Proven experience working across global teams and geographies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
- Experience in Shared Services or Global Business Services environments.
- PMP, Six Sigma, or ITIL certification (preferred).
- Experience in finance transformation initiatives.
