Role Overview
We are looking for a Procurement Manager with strong expertise in Solar PV, PV/ESS, BESS, OEM management, global sourcing, and pricing modelling.
International procurement exposure is mandatory.
The ideal candidate should excel in commercial evaluations, vendor negotiations, cost forecasting, and supplier intelligence. This role involves close coordination with engineering, project, and leadership teams and includes responsibility for both strategic sourcing and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement & Sourcing
- Manage global procurement for Solar PV modules, inverters, BOS, PV/ESS, and BESS systems.
- Conduct RFQs, vendor evaluations, commercial comparisons, and contract negotiation.
- Identify and develop qualified OEMs and technology partners internationally.
2. Pricing & Market Intelligence
- Build current and future pricing models for PV modules, inverters, and BESS systems.
- Analyze global market trends, supply chain movements, commodity pricing, and competitive benchmarks.
- Share intelligence insights for project budgeting, planning, and leadership reviews.
3. Vendor & OEM Management
- Maintain strong relationships with international OEMs and suppliers.
- Conduct performance reviews, technical compliance checks, audits, and risk assessments.
- Ensure all procured items meet project quality and certification requirements.
4. Technical Coordination & NPD
- Collaborate with engineering teams on New Product Development (NPD) initiatives for solar and storage solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and new supplier capabilities.
- Support Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) procurement for various project phases.
5. Operations, Documents & Reporting
- Oversee production monitoring, shipment tracking, and international logistics.
- Ensure accurate documentation—RFQs, POs, technical specifications, contracts, invoices.
- Maintain procurement dashboards, cost trackers, and performance reports.
Must-Have Skills
Candidates must meet all of the following:
✔ International Procurement (Mandatory)
- Demonstrated experience in global sourcing of Solar PV and BESS components.
✔ Solar PV + BESS Expertise
- Hands-on procurement of modules, inverters, BOS, PV/ESS, BESS systems.
✔ Pricing Modelling
- Ability to build and maintain price models—short-term, long-term, and trend-based forecasting.
✔ OEM & Vendor Management
- Proven experience dealing with global OEMs, contract negotiations, and supplier benchmarking.
✔ NPD Exposure
- Experience supporting new product development in solar and/or energy storage.
✔ Analytical & Commercial Strength
- Strong skills in commercial evaluation, costing, negotiation, and market insights.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with hybrid renewable systems or microgrid technologies.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- MBA in Supply Chain/Operations.
- Experience working with global multicultural teams.
