Job Summary
The Principal Consultant – Microsoft Copilot & AI Workplace Solutions is responsible for defining the strategy, architecture, governance, and adoption of Microsoft Copilot technologies across the enterprise. The role acts as the technical authority for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and AI-powered workplace solutions, driving intelligent business processes, AI agents, conversational experiences, enterprise automation, and responsible AI adoption. The role also owns FinOps governance for Microsoft Copilot services, including consumption monitoring, cost optimization, financial transparency, and value realization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define enterprise roadmaps, architecture standards, and governance models for Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and AI workplace services.
- Lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of Copilot agents, custom copilots, plugins, connectors, and conversational AI solutions.
- Establish enterprise standards for AI governance, Responsible AI, security, compliance, and data protection.
- Drive business transformation through AI automation, workflow modernization, and intelligent employee experiences.
- Identify, prioritize, and deliver high-value Copilot use cases with business stakeholders.
- Define adoption strategies, success metrics, and value realization frameworks.
- Govern Copilot Studio environments, agent lifecycle management, publishing standards, and operational support.
- Develop reusable architecture patterns, best practices, and blueprints for enterprise AI solutions.
- Collaborate with Security, Compliance, and Data Governance teams to ensure secure use of enterprise data.
- Lead technical evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and Microsoft AI innovation initiatives.
- Act as Design Authority for Copilot and AI workplace platforms and mentor architects, consultants, and engineers.
- Establish FinOps governance covering Copilot licensing, capacity consumption, credits, and AI service utilization.
- Develop cost optimization and monitoring frameworks for Copilot workloads.
- Manage consumption analytics, chargeback/showback models, and financial reporting.
- Develop forecasting and budgeting models for Copilot adoption and enterprise AI services.
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, and Technology leadership to manage sustainable AI operating costs.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of experience in Microsoft workplace technologies, enterprise architecture, digital transformation, or cloud solutions.
- 5+ years of experience designing and governing enterprise Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Proven experience delivering AI, automation, digital workplace, or business transformation initiatives.
- Experience implementing Microsoft Copilot, Power Platform, or AI-driven workplace solutions at enterprise scale.
- Experience managing cloud financial governance, FinOps programs, or technology cost optimization.
- Experience supporting global, large-scale enterprise environments.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot across Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Deep expertise in Copilot Studio, including custom copilots, autonomous agents, topics, orchestration, environment governance, and lifecycle management.
- Strong experience with Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, and AI Builder.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Graph, connectors, enterprise integration patterns, and API-driven solutions.
- Knowledge of Responsible AI, AI governance, security controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Information Protection, DLP, and data governance.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 identity, access management, and security architecture.
- Experience with AI consumption monitoring, usage analytics, cost optimization, and FinOps practices.
