Job Summary
Integration Engineer responsible for designing, securing, and supporting enterprise APIs and event-driven integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop scalable REST APIs and Kafka-based integrations.
- Create API/event specifications using OpenAPI and AsyncAPI.
- Implement integration, orchestration, and event-driven patterns.
- Manage API governance, versioning, and lifecycle controls.
- Implement API security using OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, PKI, and IAM.
- Build automated API and contract testing within CI/CD.
- Monitor and optimize APIs using Datadog.
- Troubleshoot production issues and integration failures.
- Ensure OWASP API Security compliance.
- Drive automation and AI-assisted development.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6–8 years in API Development/Integration Engineering.
- Java, Spring Boot, Spring Kafka.
- REST APIs, OpenAPI, Apache Kafka.
- API Governance & Versioning.
- OAuth2/OIDC/JWT.
- Integration Patterns and Contract Testing.
- CI/CD, SonarQube, Datadog.
- Distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pact, WireMock/Hoverfly, Karate.
