Job Summary
Senior Backend Engineer responsible for building and scaling an API management platform using Kotlin, Azure, Kubernetes, and microservices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance microservices using Kotlin, Spring Boot/Quarkus.
- Configure Azure API Management (APIM) policies and routing.
- Deploy applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using Helm.
- Manage Azure infrastructure using Terraform.
- Maintain GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines.
- Automate operational tasks using Python and runbooks.
- Implement Redis caching and OAuth2/JWT security.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Kotlin/JVM experience with Spring Boot or Quarkus.
- Kubernetes and Helm.
- Terraform with Azure resources.
- Azure APIM and C#/XML gateway policies.
- API Gateway patterns, OAuth2/JWT.
- Experience building commercial B2B APIs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Python scripting and automation.
- GitHub Actions and Azure Pipelines.
- OpenTelemetry.
- Redis operational experience.
Other Requirements
- Go/Rust experience is an advantage.
- TypeScript/React or Scala exposure is a plus.
