Job Summary
The SAP Solution Architect – Sales & Distribution (SD) is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing SAP Sales & Distribution solutions to optimize Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes across global business operations. The role focuses on SAP SD architecture, cross-functional integration, business process standardization, solution governance, stakeholder collaboration, and driving SAP transformation initiatives while ensuring operational excellence and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) solutions across enterprise environments.
- Drive end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) processes including sales, pricing, shipping, billing, and returns management.
- Define SAP solution roadmaps aligned with enterprise architecture and business objectives.
- Standardize SD business processes across multiple business units and global operations.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP SD and FI, MM, PP, WM/EWM, CRM, Treasury, and other SAP modules.
- Provide architectural guidance for SAP implementations, upgrades, enhancements, and transformation projects.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable SAP solutions.
- Review, validate, and approve functional and technical solution designs.
- Drive continuous process optimization and adoption of SAP best practices.
- Support resolution of complex business process and system integration issues.
- Ensure governance, compliance, operational stability, and solution quality.
- Mentor functional consultants and provide technical leadership across SAP initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 11–15 years of experience in SAP ERP implementations and solution architecture.
- Strong expertise in SAP Sales & Distribution (SAP SD).
- Deep understanding of Order-to-Cash (O2C) business processes.
- Experience integrating SAP SD with FI, MM, PP, WM/EWM, CRM, and Treasury modules.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC.
- Good understanding of SAP Fiori Applications.
- Knowledge of SAP tables, data flow, and integration architecture.
- Experience with SAP Query and reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of financial processes including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), General Ledger (GL), Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, Cost Center, Profit Center Accounting, and Financial Reporting.
- Experience supporting Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End financial closing activities.
- Strong production support experience including Incident Management, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), SLA Management, Hypercare, and Critical Incident Resolution.
- Experience with Unit Testing, Integration Testing, UAT, Change Management, Release Management, and Transport Validation.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with FSCM (Credit Management, Collections, Dispute Management).
- Knowledge of SAP Group Reporting and SAP Central Finance.
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM).
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and Jira.
- Exposure to automation and reporting tools.
- Understanding of IFRS and GAAP accounting standards.
