Job Summary
The Senior DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, managing, and optimizing scalable production-grade infrastructure with a strong focus on automation, reliability, and developer enablement. The role involves cloud infrastructure management, CI/CD implementation, observability enhancement, security practices, and driving platform engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure with high availability and security.
- Drive infrastructure standardization and automation initiatives.
- Build and maintain reliable CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments.
- Enable safe deployments through automation, rollback mechanisms, and environment isolation.
- Improve developer productivity through tooling and self-service workflows.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Define and improve SLOs, SLIs, and system reliability metrics.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive improvements.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Implement security best practices including access management and secrets handling.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
- Mentor team members and establish platform engineering best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Hands-on experience operating production systems at scale.
- Strong expertise with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
- Strong scripting skills using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting platforms.
- Understanding of distributed systems and reliability principles.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong Git-based workflows and infrastructure management practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in FinTech or high-scale transactional systems.
- Knowledge of reliability engineering and incident management frameworks.
- Experience mentoring and leading platform engineering initiatives.
